Dear Recruiting Manager,

I am writing to apply for the Health Data Scientist position, which I found advertised online after first hearing of the company through its sponsorship of my university’s Big Data Analytics Symposium.

During my internship with the City of Port St. Lucie, I gathered and analyzed data related to the city’s strategic plan. I successfully presented a comprehensive final report to my superiors, communicating the data-driven insights I uncovered and suggesting improvements to their data dashboard. This experience strengthened the collaboration and communication skills required to work effectively within a team and present findings clearly. Additionally, the modern education I have gained through UCF’s pioneering undergraduate Data Science program makes me a qualified candidate for this position. Through advanced coursework, I have implemented machine learning and predictive modeling techniques for data analysis and model optimization. I have not only a strong but also a diverse quantitative background, with foundations in mathematics, programming, and statistics. Extensive experience conducting exploratory data analysis and statistical modeling has further strengthened my Python skills. Furthermore, my strong self-motivation and time-management skills are proven by my honors college standing, 3.99 GPA, and dedication to the UCF Beach Volleyball Club.

I am excited for the opportunity to work under the President of Voloridge and fellow UCF honors graduate Barry Miller. Voloridge Health’s founding principles strongly resonate with me, and I am eager to contribute to its mission of improving lives and making a difference in the world. As a Gold Award Girl Scout, this mission has always been close to my heart. Working my internship in Port St. Lucie and being born and raised in Stuart, I would feel right at home returning to the Treasure Coast to work on-site in the Voloridge office in Jupiter, FL.

Again, I am very interested in joining your organization and applying my technical knowledge to improve health outcomes. I am available to interview at your convenience. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,
Andrea Ritter
